LITTLE'UNS BIRTHDAY PARTY
Well, today was the big party day. What a fantastic success it was.
Forty screaming kids running riot, the noise was amazing (at least it wasn't in my house!)
I wish they would bring out one of those ball pondy, slidey, climby places for us grown ups.
Just think of the fun you could have, yet be exercising at the same time!
Jolly Jungle is connected to a gym next door (funnily enough the gym was empty, think I may suggest a ball pond and a slide!).
I actually got offered a job while I was there but couldn't tell if they really meant it or not. It seems they were very impressed with my organization of the party details, guest list of the girls, guest list of the boys, all alphabetical of course and all the party bags in the same order, two Birthday cakes (to ensure all forty got a decent size piece, complete with napkins to wrap them) details of what the children wanted to eat, there was a very good choice, it was a hot menu, chicken nuggets, burger, cheese burger, sausage, hotdog, fish fingers, all with chips (fries in USA)
They played for an hour then had the food, then they danced with someone dressed as a bear (some of the little ones cried at this point, the bear scared them, then again it could have been me trying to dance to the 'Cha cha slide'?), then another half hour going mad in the play area again. At £5.99 a head, even though it was quite a bit of money for a kiddies Birthday party (my own fault for allowing forty!), it was worth every penny! Everyone had a fantastic time and the parents were able to leave them with us while they got on with other things.
There was the odd spat now and then - "she hit me", "no I didn't, you hit me first", kind of thing but all I had to say was I would ring their parents to come get them if they wanted, and suddenly all was forgotten, they were best friends again, and off they ran back to play.
Little'un spent two or three hours back home opening and playing with her presents (she got loads as you can imagine from forty guests!).
Then after giving me loads of hugs and kisses, thanking me for a lovely party and telling me I am the best Mum ever, she totally zonked out on the sofa.
THAT alone made it worth the money - Ahhhhhh peace!

Wow yes what a fun time you had!! Oh and the 40 little uns of course, all for having it for the adults as well that would be cool!!
Nice one Azzi!
Aren't you glad that only happens once a year?? Good for you..they can be exhausting.
Thanks azzitiz, I arrived a few hours ago and am completely knackered now. Off to bed soon!
Keep smilin' and give little'un a big hug for me :)
I really love the layout and the colourful cartoon characters!
40 is a lot of kids. Why so many?
Family and friends?

You are one brave woman! 40 screaming kids running around is far more than I would ever contemplate taking on. I'm glad little un had a wonderful birthday.
Roentarre,
Why, thank you kindly!
Actually, I'm not to good at this blogging lark, bit of a numpty when it comes to HMTL's (no idea what that even means!), adding designs and stuff like that, so stuck to the basic template and just added smileys.
Told you, forty nine going on six!
:)
Oswegan,
32 were her class at school, felt too guilty asking some and not others, the rest were her neighbourhood friends and this was the SHORT list! The original stood at about 57 but that would have been ridiculous! Luckily, some were reduced due to other arrangements or sickness and others I just had to say NO WAY JOSE!
Next year I may let her have about five or six BEST friends round to the house but thankfully, that is still a long way off as it will take me until next year to get over this one!
:)
Pauline,
Pardon! Still a little deaf from the noise. But must say, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the parents had zonked out kids for the rest of the evening (had a lot of thankyou's for that!), even I had a brilliant time. Still think us grownups should have our own place like that, if I had enough money, I would go into the business myself, I'd make a million!
:)
Hey, could you plan my next party? I'm thinking maybe a 'bird theme'.
Sounds like a fantastic party and you are a GREAT MUM!!
tc
Hey Doody!
Bird party theme eh!
OWL we do that then?
IBIS thinking, I (PELI)can do one but you would need to AVOCET time and date and let me know your (BUDGIE)t.
You need to be quite (OST)rich if it's going to be a big party though. I would give you all the BILLS so you know I'm not ROBIN you.
:)
