BRIDGWATER CARNIVAL....DEAD EXCITED!!!!....CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Found a clip of Bridgwater Carnival (Gremlins 'Ghost Ship' float) just to give you, and me, a quick taster of what sort of thing we are going to see, click on the picture on the left hand column and go to the top of this page to watch.
Seems the Carnival is quite famous and people come from all over the world to see it, all our family have been to see it over the years and stayed with my Brother, this year it's our turn! Me and Little'un are dead excited! Whooohooo!!!!
All the Somerset hotels and B&B's get booked long, long in advance. Thank goodness my Brother lives down there so we don't have to worry about where to stay.
BIG BRUV & MRS BIG BRUV - JUST LIKE TO SAY AT THIS POINT (COZ I KNOW YOU WILL READ THIS SOMETIME) THANKS A MILLION AND LOADSA LUV XXX
The carnival parade starts around 7pm on Friday November 9th, so we will be travelling down by coach on the Thursday.
Why Thursday?........Because the coach leaves at 10.45am and we don't arrive in Bridgwater until 7pm! 8 hours and fifteen minutes and that's with no changes! Good grief, I wish I had a car, it only takes 3 hours on the motorway!
I've booked and paid for the coach for all three of us over t'net already £103.50, sounds a lot but when you think going by train would cost £369.70, it doesn't sound too bad!
Whether Neeza actually comes with us this time is another matter, going off previous arrangements, he usually cancels at the last minute saying he can't get the time off work. You would think giving him three months notice (I suggested it in August and numerous times since and he has said he would really love to come) would be long enough but we will see! I will give him the dates again tonight (third time!) when he gets home from work.
Anyway, enjoy the clip.

Have a great time!!
Have a great time!
what the heck has happened to train fares! It would be cheaper to fly to spain!
I hope you write about it when you get back. I would really love to read of all the fun you and your family had.
Cathy,
I know! It's ridiculous! It would be cheaper to fly down to Bristol than get a train, and for that price, as you say, a lot cheaper to go to Spain!
:)
Howdy Azzy! This is a Meme Tag!
Don't be afraid, this one's easy - I'm not asking you to come up with a list of a bunch of stuff or anything like that. In fact, you'll like this one: it's all about Advertizing Your Blog!
A bunch of us blog-types are putting this meme together to spread our blogs around to a humongous audience. I'd like you to participate so you can see your blog spread throughout the Known Universe!
Check out this post and read the instructions, and you can decide if you'd like to advertize a little. No pressure, though - just thought you might like to join in.
Have a nice day!

P.S. How do you carry all thouse "pounds"? Isn't that a little heavy?
Wait - 8 hours by coach and 3 by car? Is it cheaper to rent a car?
Cooper,
Yes, it would be cheaper to hire a car but the fine I would get for not having a driving licence would probably be more than the coach fare! None of us drive. Although I am thinking (if I can get over my fear of 'tests') to have another go at driving.
:)
Hey Doody,
Thanks for the meme invite, it will have to wait though until I get my brain in gear, I'm having a 'scrambled eggy brain' kind of day today.
The best I have managed up to now is to make myself a cup of tea, anything else is too complicated!
:)
