LITTLE'UNS CHRISTMAS SCHOOL PLAY

Went to watch Little'un in her Christmas school play this afternoon.

Can't help it......I cried!!

It wasn't your normal type Nativity play, it was called 'The Snow Child'.
A sweet little story of a childless couple who, one year, built a little girl from snow but wished she were real, the wish came true and the Snow Child came alive but could only stay with them during the winter season each year, a very touching story.
The children had to dress in clothes of seasonal colours, Spring Tree 2 , Summer Tree 5 , Autumn Tree and Winter Tree 6 . Little'un was Autumn (Fall).

I got Little'uns costume, a longish flowing tunic in browns and oranges, for 50 pence (about 25 cents in the USA) from the local charity shop, I cut the sleeves in strips up to the elbow and strips from the bottom up to the waist so when she twirled during her dance, the strips flared out (quite effective!).

She has a second show tomorrow night from seven, for all the parents who work and couldn't make it to the daytime performance.
What will I do after dropping her off at 6.30 until it finishes at 8.15????
Hmmmm, let me think???
There just happens to be a pub just round the corner.

Well, what did you expect? I have no intention of walking a couple of miles home just to walk all the way back!
May as well make the most of it, he, he!

I had a go on the Christmas raffle at school, thinking, as usual, it's a waste of money as I never win anything.
I WON!!...... First prize!!
A lovely big Christmas hamper full of goodies!

What with my house having carpets, a newish suite on the way (my nephew is getting a new one and giving me his cream leather one) a TV from a friend, as she is buying new and is giving me her flat screen (we have been making do with Little'uns portable since our large one broke) then to top it all, winning the raffle, This, so far, has been the best Christmas ever.

All I need now is to win the National Lottery and I think I would burst with happiness!!!

Hope you all have your best and happiest Christmas too!

You know, I always cry when my kids are in a school play. Not sure why, must be a mom thing! :)
