1. At what age do you wish to marry?
Already am, still think 37 was too young to get married!!!!

Beloved? Waaa, haaa, haaa! Wouldn't be able to say anything for laughing at that word!

Graham from http://grahamettridge.blogspot.com/ because he has a lovely soothing voice and would keep me from panicking, he has travelled all over, isn't afraid of bugs and therefore would be good at doing the tarzanesque stuff (hunting, fishing etc.)

4. Where is the place you want to go the most?
Gosh....just one? Whale watching in Canada, swimming with dolphins, swimming with manatees, going to see the Northern Lights, Madagascar, Galapagos Islands, Australia, doing a David Attenborough and being with Silverback Gorillas, I could go on and on, there are too many places I want to go.


5. If you can have one dream come true, what would it be?
To be young again, learn by my past mistakes, stop worrying, get out there more and enjoy being alive!


6. What the best compliment you ever received?
Don't get many but I guess my favourite is comments on my food, I just love to feed people.


7. What are you afraid of the most?
Heights!!! Arrrrrgh! (Yet, funnily enough, not flying, it's only when I am stood near a high place???)


8. If you won $1 millon what would you do?
Make sure all my family were financially secure, IF any was left over, I would try to do the things in question 4.


9. If you meet someone that you love, would you confess to him/her?
You HAVE to! Life is too short to miss out on any opportunities, especially love, even if it doesn't last, it is brilliant while it's happening.

I wasn't tagged, it was a free for all, open to anyone who fancied having a go but I found it on Graham's blog so, number one...I think he is a great guy and any woman who eventually captures his heart, is one lucky girl. Number two...He has a lovely calming and charming proper English voice, (ooh, melts your heart) and number three...there is a real quirky sense of humour there but we haven't been allowed to see it yet! Are you blushing yet Graham?


11. What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?
That he wouldn't make promises then let me down any more, that he would stop drinking and that he would show both me and Little'un that he actually wants to be with us!


12. Which type of person do you hate the most?
Lying, deceitful and selfish with no sense of humour!


13. Are you the type of person who will forgive and forget easy?
I can forgive to a certain extent and will let a lot of things go, but I will NEVER forget!

All my family!

Little'un most of all, my family and being happy.


17. My question......Are you racist?
Not at all, I don't understand how the colour of someones skin could make any difference to the way they are treated? I actually can't see what the big deal about colour is? We are all people, some I like, some I don't. I actually don't notice the colour!

I wouldn't want to be anyone else or pretend/act like anyone else, I'm me and I like me!


19. 2008 do you have a new year resolution?
Nope, I'd only break it then get annoyed at myself for not sticking to it, so why bother!

No 1. I snore really loud, quite often waking myself up! Whaddya mean you know?! I'm not THAT loud!

No 3. I have both seen and felt the ghosts of two of my previous pet dogs (One, I felt curling up at my feet in bed, the bed actually bounced as she jumped up!!! SPOOKY!!)

No 4. I'm a big softie, I cry over sad movies, some types of music (eg: the music playing at the moment! Whaaaa!), Little'uns school plays, stubbing my toe, burning myself on the iron, you name it, I cry.

No 5. I have to touch each rail of the bannister on the way downstairs, if I miss one, I have to go back up and start again!

No 6. I will only eat my rump steaks 'blue' or very, very rare, and sometimes have had to sign a disclaimer for the restaurant. (This actually happened in one restaurant I went to......I asked the waitress for a blue steak and she replied completely bemused "I'm terribly sorry, we only have pink ones")

No 7. I have always had a 'thing' about guys with grey or white hair ever since I was in my teens, don't know why, maybe that's why I like Christmas so much, look out Santa!

8 THINGS.......... I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT.

1. MY FAMILY..........Bit obsessive I know, but.......Death to anyone who hurts them!!!!!

2. NATURE..........Love it, love it, love it! I will plant, grow and care for anything, I will rescue any animal, bird and even insects (YUK!) that may be in distress. Love sitting watching bats swooping over the garden at dusk and the foxes on our close in the early hours.

3. THE SEASONS........Autumn is my all time favourite, clean, cold, crisp and colourful.

4. MY HOME.........I NEED it to be comfy, warm, friendly and open to all who wish to visit. My house is usually filled with all the local children in the area.

5. FOOD.........I have this great urge to feed everyone, I insist no-one can visit my home without going away fed, if not a full blown hot meal then at least some kind of nibbles.

6. TEA........I can't go too long without a nice cup of tea.

8 THINGS.......... I HAVE LEARNED IN THE PAST YEAR.

1. If things can go wrong, they go wrong real big and all at the same time!

2. You can get over most things that life throws at you by laughing and making fun of it.

3. Some of these meme's can be really hard to complete!

4. Fish can survive for five hours out of water (well, one of mine did - see post '999 or 911')

5. There are hundreds and thousands of fantastic people and virtual friends out in the blogsphere. And I have found some good'uns already.

6. I can't put a Rowntree's fruit pastille in my mouth without chewing it (For all non UK, this is on a TV advert).

7. I don't listen to enough music, can't remember what they are called and who they are by! (See above section headed - 8 songs I can listen to over and over)

8. I can't bake a Birthday cake when I am drunk. Discovered in May of this year on my Step Daughter's Birthday, the cake in question became known in our family as the 'Autopsy cake' flat like a giant cookie, oozing melted buttercream mixed with strawberry jam as it was still hot from the oven, it looked disgusting, needless to say no one wanted a piece! (Even the dog refused it!)

In this one you have to list five strengths you think you have, then tag four others to do the same.

MY FIVE STRENGTHS.........

No 1..... The ability to laugh at myself and see my life in joke form, that, I think, is my main strength. Sometimes it can be difficult and doesn't always work but more often than not, I can do it.

No 2..... I am a very good listener (so I have been told) and like to try and help solve other peoples problems. If I can't help with the problem, at least I can cheer them up (usually by telling them what a shitty life I have! That brings a smile to their face! Sometimes it has been known to cause hysterics!).

No 3..... The love I have for all of my family, I would kill or die for them (seriously!) Nobody hurts MY family!

No 4..... My stubbornness is a belter! I WILL get what I want! Maybe not as soon as I want it, but I WILL get it! (Is this a strength or a failing?)

No 5..... (similar to No1) I am a 'WEEBLE' I may wobble but I WON'T fall down!

VIRTUAL DINNER PARTY MEME!

Once again, the famous ( evil, yet very nice with it) Graham of http://grahamettridge.blogspot.com/ has thrown one of his memes at me. I'll either have to find a better hiding place or learn to duck quicker!
Anyway, it seems I have to arrange a virtual dinner party.
I will need.....
1) A party theme.
2) A guest list. (It can be anyone, past, present, real or fictional).
3) A starter.
4) A main course.
5) A sweet.
6) The kind of entertainment I would have.
7) A rundown on how the evening went.
And finally......
8) Any party nightmares I may have experienced.

(The party theme is due to the state of my house at present, the flood, no carpet so bare concrete, broken heating therefore no hot water, broken shower, and finally a leaking pipe somewhere under the floorboards in the back bedroom causing my dining ceiling to have a frightening bulge hanging down!!!)

Sliding down gently onto my new suite, glass of wine in hand, gazing at my beautifully decorated home and lovely garden would be my idea of heaven, I don't know about everyone else, but I had a brilliant time!
